Humanities
Across the Humanities, Abercorn pupils explore the world around them and their place in it. By understanding the impact of the past and the environment around them, pupils develop a sense of curiosity and wonder.
History, Geography and Religious Studies are all bought to life inside and outside the classroom, through a myriad of trips and practical lessons exploring the world around us.
At Abercorn the PSHE & Citizenship department strives to ensure that the subject occupies a central position in the school ethos; enriching the curriculum and actively developing the whole child.
At Abercorn School we are very proud of our harmonious pupil body which is embraced by all and recognised as a rich source of cultural and religious diversity.
At Abercorn our aims are to encourage children to develop an understanding of the past and its relevance to the present, and its impact on the world today.
Geography encourages pupils to develop an understanding of the world and their place in it. Together we explore human and physical geography, exploring the world today and studying real life examples.
