LAMDA success for Year 3 pupils
This academic year we introduced LAMDA lessons to a number of our Year 3 pupils. The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art is a drama school situated in west London, and is the oldest drama school in the UK.
LAMDA examinations can be taken in the fields of speech, drama, communication and performance by external students. These examinations are recognised qualifications.
We are delighted to announce that all 17 children from Year 3 who entered the LAMDA exams earlier this term have passed with either merit or distinction. This is a wonderful achievement and the children should be extremely proud of their efforts. Thank you also to Mrs Wrottesley, our Head of Drama, who has done such a fantastic job teaching them. We certainly noticed the rise in standards this year for the first round of our poetry competition!
Our talented pupils celebrated their success this morning when presented with their certificates, while dressed up for Red Nose Day.
