Year 8 at the River Chess
Year 8 have had a very busy start to the year in their Humanities lessons.
They have reviewed their locational geography, Ordnance Survey map skills, the processes of weathering, erosion, and transportation, the river system, and coastal processes. Then on Tuesday 10th October they headed up to the River Chess in Amersham to complete the fieldwork portion of their CE Exam. The students not only tested their Wellies, but also the width, depth, velocity, and bedload size of the river at two sites along its course with a little time left over for a rock skipping contest and some river tag.
