Abercorn School, founded in 1987, is a co-educational school for children aged 2½ to 13.

Our mission is to provide an inclusive and happy learning environment which enables our pupils to develop into confident life-long learners who are global citizens.

Aims

  • To develop pupils personally, socially and intellectually through their learning experiences.
  • Promote independence and a sense of responsibility, preparing pupils for life in a changing world.
  • Provide clear moral guidelines which pupils respect and value.
  • Ensure pupils have the skills and attitudes needed to contribute to both local and global citizenship.

Vision

  • Continue to develop links with our international colleagues, whilst remaining a British Prep school.
  • Pupils to gain a balanced, holistic education whilst still being prepared for future schools.
  • Develop the use of modern technology to support the learning environment.
  • Pupils to leave Abercorn as life-long learners who have successfully completed the first part of their educational journey.

Pupils’ confident and enthusiastic attitude to their learning contributes significantly to their progress and achievement.
